LTA chief executive officer Naisa Tuinaceva said: “While it was worrying to note that many drivers were disregarding basic road rules, the assistance being received from the public has been quite encouraging.

“Our enforcement officer cannot be everywhere at all times, so it is very encouraging to note that people of Fiji are willing to assist,” he said.

Mr Tuinaceva said LTA hoped to see an improvement in the behaviour of bad drivers now that they are aware the public is reporting road offences.

The authority aims to resolve complaints received via 582 within 48 hours upon receipt of the report.
