The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) yesterday received boxes of clothes from the Hazeldine Construction Limited of New Zealand.

The donation of clothing items, which will be distributed to cyclone affected areas, was a collective effort of staff and management of the Christchurch-based construction company.

Vaseva Namata, whose son is employed by Hazeldine Construction, handed over the relief supplies to the NDMO principal emergency and planning coordination officer, Uraia Rainima, and said that Hazeldine wanted to be part of the relief response in Fiji.

Mr Rainima thanked Ms Namata and requested that the appreciation of Government be conveyed to the management and staff of Hazeldine.

Mr Rainima said that clothing has become a need for some in light of the recent floods and Government is thankful for all donations received.
