The Vodafone Fijian 7s team saved the best for last as they walloped Wales 36-10 in their pool match in Hong Kong last night.

The win has cemented Fiji’s Hong Kong Sevens quarterfinal berth against Kenya at 3.42pm today.

The Ben Ryan coached- side took control of the match and did not look like tiring with tries to Savenaca Rawaca and a double to Vatemo Ravouvou to take a commanding 17-5 lead at halftime.

In the second half replacement prop Apisai Domolailai scored a try from his first touch of the ball before Rawaca ran in his second try. Veteran prop Pio Tuwai scored Fiji’s final try while Luke Morgan ran in a consolation try for Wales.

Wales now face New Zealand in the first Cup quarterfinals at 2.58pm.
