Tailevu Beauty Strives To Make a Difference

Twenty-four-year-old Tailevu beauty, Heather Marama is one of 10 finalists competing for Miss World Fiji 2016.

The former Swami Vivekananda student is no stranger to the limelight as she was the face of Fiji Fashion Week’s campaign in 2013.

Marama was also one of the first Fijian models to catwalk at 37,000 feet on board Fiji Airways inaugural flight to Wellington last year.

“I am excited about competing for Miss World Fiji this year and I am looking forward to the journey. The experience has been great so far, meeting with the other finalists and working on our beauty with a purpose platforms,” said Ms Marama.

The freelance graphic artist hails from Verata, Ucunivanua in Tailevu.

Ms Marama enjoys sketching, photography, painting including playing netball and volleyball.

“As part of my beauty with a purpose for Miss World, I would really like to assist the poor people and hoping to impact their lives with my kind gestures and actions. It is something I will focus on using the Miss World platform and strive to make a difference in the lives of others” she said.

Ms Marama has a colourful background in modelling and has walked for top designers at Fiji Fashion Week, Port Moresby Fashion Week and LA Fashion Week.
