Attorney-General and Minister for Finance Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum yesterday received a $10,000 donation from the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission towards the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.

The A-G thanked the commission for their contribution and emphasised the continued need of Fijians affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

“We thank the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission for this donation that will directly benefit those ordinary Fijians and help rebuild Fiji even better than before,” he said.

Director of the Commission, Ashwin Raj, acknowledged the Fijian Government’s prompt response and continued dedication in its relief efforts.

“This contribution is a gesture of solidarity with the Fijian Government as it rebuilds Fiji and looks forward to constructively engaging the state in the fulfillment of human rights for all Fijians,” he said.
