Ex-Grammar Bursar Case Adjourned

A former bursar of Suva Grammar School and businessman, both charged with corruption-related offences, pleaded not guilty to charges laid against them yesterday.

Ratnesh Chandar and Shiu Raman appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa at the Suva Magistrates Court.

Chandar is charged with one count of abuse of office and one count of general dishonesty  causing a loss. Raman, who is the director of Incredible IT Solutions, is charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage. Prosecution informed the court there were admissions in the second accused’s caution interview regarding the charges against him would would be relying on the caution interview. The case has been adjourned to May 30.
