Police intercept drugs

Five men are in Police custody at the Nadi Police Station after Police intercepted their vehicle allegedly transporting drugs at Tabaraki Road, Nausori Highlands, early yesterday morning.

In custody are a 43-year-old driver and his four passengers aged 45, 32, 30 and 20 years respectively. They are all farmers of a village in the interior of Ba.

They were allegedly found in possession of dried leaves kept in a sack, believed to be marijuana. Police investigations continue.

 

Aggravated robbery

Police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed the Real Forex Money Exchange outlet in Lautoka, yesterday morning.

They were armed with a kitchen knife, threatened the 28-year-old teller before making off with a substantial amount of cash.

Members of the public with information are urged to call the Lautoka Police Station on 6660222, 9905660 or Crime Stoppers on 919.
