Aggravated Robbery

Police are looking for two unknown youths that robbed a 58-year-old self employed woman of Bay-view Heights, Nabua on Tuesday night.

They stole the woman’s handbag containing cash, a S5 mobile phone, her driver’s licence and bank cards. They also drove away in her red Hyundai Tucson registration number; HJ 537. The vehicle is still not found.

Members of the public with information are requested to call the nearest Police station or Crime Stoppers on 919.

 

 

Drifting Boat

Police are seeking assistance to mariners after a boat carrying five fishermen of Nakalou village capsized at Cakaubalavu reef outside Seaqaqa on Monday afternoon.

One passenger on board swam ashore and alerted the villagers. Search was conducted where three others were rescued.

The fifth member, who is an 18 year old drifted away with the boat and is yet to be located.

Mariners are requested to keep a look out for this drifting boat.

Due to the adverse weather situation and as we are still in the cyclone season, it is advisable for fishermen to adhere to weather bulletins instruction and advices to avoid this kind of incidents in future.

 

Burglary

Police are looking for the person or persons that broke into a groceries shop at Nausori town last weekend. Items stolen include a carton of BH 10 cigarettes containing 40 gross and 30 gross of BH 20 cigarettes.

Members of the public with information are requested to call Nausori Police Station on 3477222 or Crime Stoppers on 919.
