Coach Ben Ryan Names His Final 12
Vodafone Fijian 7s head coach Ben Ryan has made three changes to his 12-men squad for the Singapore tournament, which starts today.
Forward Pio Tuwai, Isake Katonibau and winger Savenaca Rawaca have been replaced by Emosi Mulevoro, Nemani Nagusa and Alivereti Veitokani.
Vodafone Fijian skipper Osea Kolinisau will be the first Fijian to appear for his 50th tournament.
In an earler interview Kolinisau said their focus remains the same and that is to go for a back-to-back win.
“We just want to continue where we left off in Hong Kong. Our communication in Hong Kong was the key to us winning. In the semifinals it just clicked, like a light bulb turning on and then everyone was just firing full cylinders,” Kolinisau said.
Fiji play Samoa today at 4:12pm before they takes on Portugal at 7:33pm and England at 11:26pm.
