Delegates encouraged to give feedback whilst all sponsors thanked for contributions in cash or kind

The 2016 Fiji Institute of Accountants Congress has grown bigger and better under the leadership and guidance of President, Nouzab Fareed and the organising committee this year.

From the range of much better speakers to improved venue, food and beverage – this annual congress promises it all.

Today, over 400 accounting professionals will converge at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island for the two-day annual congress.

And Mr Fareed has promised all delegates an improved overall experience compared to the previous years.

Meanwhile, Mr Fareed’s term as the President of FIA will finish on the second day of the congress with the new President taking over the role then.

Feedback sought

Meanwhile, Mr Fareed has encouraged all participants to ensure they give their feedback to the institute.

“The conference of this type can further improve based only on feedback and it is important for participants to give feedback as and when possible, positive or negative,” he said.

“They can reach FIA through email, telephone or text. But it is important for them to give feedback in terms of what they want to hear in the future, the experience they need and how else we can improve this conference.”

Sponsors acknowledged

He acknowledged the support of all sponsors noting without them, it would have been impossible to organise a conference of this magnitude.

Mr Fareed firstly thanked major sponsors Vodafone Fiji and Westpac for their continued commitment.

He also thanked all support sponsors which includes Sun Insurance, Carpenters Motors, Merchant Finance, Fiji Airways, Datec (Fiji), Ajax Spurway Fasteners Limited, Marsh, British American Tobacco, McDonald’s and Sheraton Fiji.

In addition, Mr Fareed also thanked the Fiji Sun as the exclusive media partner for the 2016 FIA Congress and for the buildup coverage given for the event.
