Fijiana Target Cup Semis for Paris 7s

The Telecom Fijiana side hopes to improve their performance in the Paris 7s next month.
Team captain Ana Roqica says after finishing 8th at the USA 7s and winning the Bowl in the Canada 7s last weekend, the team hopes to move to another level in Europe.
“Our aim for France is to get to the semi finals,” Roqica said.
“We had a debut in the team Matila Waqanidrola and Merewai Cumu, they played really well in both of the tournaments and should be going with us in the next tournament.
“Now that we are back we will be resting for two weeks and the second day of next month we will be starting our training.”
Roqica said two Fijiana players sustained injuries in Canada and will be taking time out to rest.
“We will be preparing for three weeks.
Now we will have a rest for two weeks, get recovery and on the second day of next month, we will be coming back to camp,” Roqica said.
“We also have two injuries Lavenia Tinai and Asinate Savu so we are all hoping they recover well before the next tourney.”
Roqica also wished those participating in the womens division for the Marist Sevens this weekend well. “For those girls who have a passion for rugby and taking part in the upcoming Marist Sevens, we wish you all the best and hope you play well in order to be part of the national side,” she said.
The Fijiana side will return to camp on the 2nd of next month.
