Dried leaves  suspected to be marijuana discovered inside his  home

Police have uncovered 100 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana in the home of a man wanted for arrest for theft.

Northern Divisional Police Commander Senior Superintendent Shri Bhagwan Singh said the man had fled from his home in Naodamu, Labasa before the Police arrived.

“Police officers went to arrest the man for a case of burglary last week Friday but the man fled,” SSP Singh said.

“The Police officers then searched his house and found more than 100 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

“We have sent this to the analyst to determine whether it was marijuana or not.

“Meanwhile, Police officers are still looking for this man who is on the run,” he said.

“We are seeking public’s assistance in providing any information related to this case.”
