Viriseta Kaitani will be the lone female athlete for Kadavu Provincial High School participating in the 2016 Coca-Cola games.

The Vacalea, Nakasaleka lass has vowed to do the school and province proud as she participates in the junior girls 3000m.

“I feel very excited to be the only girl in the squad as this is my first year to participate in the Coke Games and I just can’t wait to take part.

“Ever since I was in primary school I always watch the Games and I tell myself that one day I will have to compete at the Games and this has become a reality for me this year and I want to thank God for giving me the talent,” Kaitani said.

The Year Nine student is confident of a positive outing.

“For my training, I normally run up the hill and use our school ground to train and I have been getting a lot of support from my parents and coaches in the school,” she said.

Meanwhile five athletes will be representing Kadavu Provincial High School and team manager Sikeli Baba said their budget for the games are approximately $3000.

“We are calling out to all the fans and supporters of Kadavu to come out in numbers and support us,” Baba said.
