Vika Doubles Lau’s Winning Chance

24-year-old sales executive vies for top pageant award
The province of Lau can boast of having another stunning beauty competing in this year’s Miss World Fiji contest.
Vika Fifita, 24, will round out the top 10 next week when she competes for Fiji’s most coveted beauty title.
The sales professional enjoys hiking, playing basketball, reading novels, playing indoor games including dancing and singing.
Having worked as a volunteer in the Philippines, she has learned that in our most difficult times, there is nothing more rewarding than sharing.
“Beauty only exists when we are more concerned about others than ourselves,” she said.
The former Latter Day Saints college student hopes to establish a youth or children’s centre in the future and developed this passion after she taught children between the ages of five and 12-year-olds.
“I am convinced that serving others is the purpose and essence of life,” Ms Fifita said.
“We are responsible for those around us regardless of their physical appearance, personality and character.”
Miss World Fiji 2016 will be crowned next week Saturday, May 7 at The Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva and will represent Fiji at the 66th Miss World contest later in the year.
Tickets to the grand finale cost $150 and is on sale at The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation in Suva.
The FBC is officially managing and producing Miss World Fiji while The Grand Pacific Hotel is the official host partner, Fiji Airways is the official airline partner and the Fiji Sun is the official print media partner.
