International buyers and media will have the opportunity to meet and engage with the Fijian tourism industry in a way that has not been possible in the past.

This is at The Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE), our tourism industry event which will be held three days beginning on Tuesday next week at the Denarau Convention Centre on Denarau Island.

Tourism Fiji’s Global Public Relations manager, Patricia Mallam, said a total of 14 international media will be attending Fijian Tourism Expo.

“Some international media attending are from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, China and the United Kingdom. FTE is the place to be for anyone interested in the future of the Fijian tourism industry,” she said.

“FTE is a uniquely Fijian tourism experience for international buyers of the tourism product. It is designed to showcase of the best of the Fijian tourism industry to the global travel market.”

Ms Mallam added 152 Buyers have registered for the event as well who are from 19 different countries, including Fiji.

“We believe the success of FTE is based on establishing and strengthening long-term, genuine partnerships with our industry partners to promote the effective development of a vibrant, resilient Fijian tourism industry,” she said.

“There will be 112 sellers or exhibiting companies have registered. All sellers are resorts, properties and tourism service providers based in Fiji.

She said there will be evening networking events give the buyers the opportunity to meet and socialise with everyone in the tourism industry.

Meanwhile, 11 local media outlets (20 representatives) have registered for the FTE as well.
