Minister for Foreign Affairs received $44, 360 from the Ulu o Tokelau

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, received $44,360 from the Ulu o Tokelau Aliki Faipule Afega Gaualofa to assist the Fijian Government in its relief efforts for those Fijians that were directly affected by Cyclone Winston on Thursday.

Ratu Inoke thanked Tokelau’s head of government for the kind gesture to help victims of Tropical Cyclone Winston.  He highlighted the rehabilitation work that Government is currently carrying out with local and foreign agencies.

He also acknowledged Tokelau’s signing of the charter of the Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) this week and offered assistance to Tokelau under the Fiji Volunteer Scheme (FVS), particularly in the education sector.

He also promised to look into visa issues for Tokelau students in Fiji.
