The first group of soldiers from the Indonesian Defence Force arrived last night to rebuild Queen Victoria School.
Colonel Anggara Sitompul (Defence Attache) said: “About 100 troops will be involved in this work and 30 have arrived.
“This is a good opportunity for the two countries to strengthen the bilateral relationship and the military co-operation.”
Colonel Sitompul said the rebuilding work was expected to be completed in six months time.
“The building equipment for the troops will be arriving into the country tomorrow, while the building materials are expected to arrive by the end of this month.”
