Coach graduates With Honours
FASANOC congratulated Weightlifting Fiji’s coach Della Shaw after she was one of 11 coaches to graduate with honours distinction from the International Coaching Enrichment Certification Programme in Lausanne, Switzerland.
FASANOC chief executive officer Lorraine Mar said Della’s achievement was a testament to her dedication and willingness to learn more to improve herself as a coach.
“It has been a great experience being part of the ICECP with coaches from more than 30 countries,” Della said.
“The ICECP has broadened my knowledge base and given me the opportunity to develop a training model and monitor high performance weightlifting athletes in Fiji.
Furthermore, it has allowed me to implement a standardised structure to improve athlete performance at a high level.
Through these efforts I hope to qualify athletes for Rio 2016 at next month’s Olympic qualifier in Suva.
