Men In Red Want Title

New Caledonia men’s volleyball team was the first team to book their place in the 2016 Handy Finance Oceania Volleyball Championship semifinal.
This was after they defeated Solomon Islands 3-1 at the Vodafone Arena last night.
The men in red proved too strong from the opening set as they displayed aggressive attacking game to which Solomon’s had no reply winning 25-15. Solomon Islands fought back to win the second set 26-24 but New Caledonia won the last two sets 25-20. 25-14.
New Caledonia head coach Nehune Mickael was impressed with his young boys.
“We prepared for two months and our main aim is to win the title,” Mickael said.
Solomons captain John Kaitu said they could have played better.
“We could have done better but receiving and blocking let us down,” Kaitu said.
