The Kamal Swamy-coached Nadi football team received $35,000 from their traditional sponsor Jack’s of Fiji in Nadi on Thursday.

This is part of Jack’s of Fiji’s ongoing sponsorship which started in 2013.

Jack’s of Fiji chief executive officer Bhavin Khatri said they were proud to be involved with a winning team.

“We believe that this year is going to be an exciting one for Nadi and we support our hometown team,” Khatri said.

“The sponsorship is $25,000 cash and $10,000 in kind. With a busy soccer season ahead, Jacks of Fiji hopes that the sponsorship will keep the players motivated.”

NFA president Navaneeda Gounder thanked Jack’s of Fiji for their support.

“This renewal of the sponsorship has motivated the team to keep on winning,” he said.

“Last year we won the Vodafone Premier League title after 18 years, the Champion vs Champion Series and the Pacific Cup in New Zealand.

“This will surely boost to our players knowing that they have a good support from our sponsor.”

Jacks Nadi plays Lautoka at Prince Charles Park, Nadi tomorrow at 3pm.

Nadi will be playing without key players Anish Khem, Napolioni Qasevakatini who are with the Vodafone Fijian Under-23 team in Brazil.

“Midfielder Munit (Krishna) has moved to New Zealand but we have young players to replace him,” said Gounder.
