Businessman and mechanic, Manoj Kumar, has brought his love and passion for cars alive as he restored a used Toyota Marino into a seemingly new generation ride.

It took Mr Kumar three months to do this and he built the car from scratch with the help of his son, Monish Kumar.

Mr Kumar owns the Nadi Airport Boat Club but also is a mechanic as well.

“My son also has great passion for cars so he helped me to rebuild it,” he said.

Mr Kumar spent about $6000 to finish the intriguing and colourful Toyota Marino.

“It took me about three months to finish it in which we did the body job and also put in 7A Engine and painted the car,” he said.

Mr Kumar has sold more than 100 cars but upon getting the Toyota Marino, he decided to do something different.

His love for cars started at a very young age when he first bought his first car at just 12 years old.

“I sold eight bicycles and bought my first car which was a Mazda Van which cost me around $800 then,” he said.

“Then I just kept saving and bought used cars and repaired them and sold it again.”
