The Dee Cee’s Nadera Panthers Rugby League Club launched their official team attire and rugby balls yesterday.

The team attire for the club’s Under-16, U18, Reserve and Premier grades were sponsored by Mark One Apparel Limited and the rugby balls were supplied by Sports World.

Club manager Tevita Korosaya said they were very grateful to their sponsors, stakeholders and all their supporters.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou, officiated at the launch at Nadera in Nasinu.

Tuitubou reminded the players the importance of their roles and the qualities of being good sportsmen.

“Good facilities and equipment can be provided to you but to win and to being a good sportsman the onus is on you, you need to have discipline,” Tuitubou said.

He said the launch was a stepping stone for the rugby league club, therefore players must aim higher.

“Sport is an effective tool for development and this can been witnessed in Nadera especially in nurturing players who later played for the Vodafone Fiji Bati.”

Tuitubou urged the club to continue using sport as an incentive for social and economic development of their community.
