A man charged in relation to making comments on Facebook against a minor has pleaded guilty in court.

Marika Davetawalu Ragogo, whose comments had allegedly indecently insulted the minor and her father, has been charged with one count of annoying any person.

Ragogo, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili yesterday, was further remanded.

Defence lawyer Vilisoni Tuicolo requested Mr Ratuvili to have the case called in Suva and not in Sigatoka.

The court heard that on May 2 at Sigatoka, Ragogo allegedly posted a picture of a three-year-old girl with accompanying remarks.

Mr Tuicolo told the court that Ragogo had learned the consequences of his action while in custody for three days; he had also sought forgiveness from the complainant and had co-operated fully with the Police.

Chief Magistrate Ratuvili said Ragogo would be in remand until his sentencing on May 20 and the time spent in remand will be deducted from his sentence.
