2016 Hyundai Tucson Continues Winning Awards

Praised by the industry for everything from its safety to its initial value as a crossover, this impressive improvement on an already highly-acclaimed model only adds to the Tucson’s extensive record of impressing industry reviewers.

The 2016 Tucson also won the coveted Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s 2016 Top Safety Pick+ award.

Perfect for a growing family

Perhaps because of its impressive safety features, the 2016 Tucson was recently named International Family Vehicle of the Year by Road & Travel Magazine at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

With an available hands-free smart lift gate and a total 61.9 cubic feet of interior space, this handy SUV is perfect for even the biggest day trips with all your hiking gear or simply for every day’s hockey practice.

The Tucson can take you through just about any road conditions in all seasons.

A great looking model

Pair this with the Tucson’s attractive, athletic interior styling and you’ve got a vehicle perfect for a family at any stage or size.

Plus, since the Tucson is a highly efficient vehicle, it won’t require stop after stop to fill up the tank despite its size.

For this reason, the Tucson also took the “Best Compact Crossover” Award from Ruedas ESPN, the leading Spanish-language automotive radio show in the US.

Highly efficient

The 2016 Tucson is so impressively efficient that it is currently in the running as a finalist for the 2016 Green SUV of the Year Award from Green Car Journal.

This award recognises five finalists who represent the ultimate in efficient crossover/SUV models and awards the one that shows the best efficiency overall in January of 2016.

A History of Success

The Tucson comes from a long line of award winners, not least of which is the highly successful 2015 Tucson.

This sporty SUV served as a base for the 2016 model, and because of its impressive design and innovative safety features it won the award for Highest Ranked SUV in Initial Quality from J.D. Power.

Before that model came the widely praised 2012 Tucson, which has recently been dubbed “One of the Top 10 Cars with the Best Resale Value” by Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com.

Even the 2012 Tucson had a line of success behind it, with both the 2011 and 2010 models bringing in an IIHS Top Safety Pick.
