Chicken supply has slowly normalised this week after a shortage of chickens in the supermarkets. Supplies ran out  last two months in the wake of Cyclone Winston.

Carpenters Fiji Limited retail and marketing director Kunaseelan Sabaratnam made the comments.

He said Crest Chicken and Rooster Poultry stocks had come in slowly this week and the public could substitute chicken with other meats on special.

“Other local suppliers have brought chicken from New Zealand and provided discounts as Mother’s Day approach,so we are covered” he said.

RB Patel Group Director, Surendra Patel said chicken supply was getting better every week.
