BLK Nadroga thrashed Vatukoula 55-7 to clinch their first win in the 2016 Skipper Cup competition at Theodore Park in Tavua yesterday.

What happened:

Nadroga took the lead after Aporosa Tabulawaki broke the deadlock in the second minute scoring a try which was converted, 7-0. Vatukoula’s indiscipline allowed Jonetani Ralulu to kick a penalty, 10-0.

Vatukoula had no reply from the assault by Nadroga as they scored another try in the 29th minute from Apisai Moimoi, converted by Ralulu, 17-0.

In the 42nd minute  Iliesa Takelo scored and  Ilaisa Leca scored two minutes later.

In the 52nd minute, a yellow card was issued to Epeli Qativi of the Nadroga team for dangerous play. Two more tries were scored by Sakiusa Nadruku in the 54th minute and Aporosa Tabulawaki in the 59th minute.

Simione Bolaitamana after support play from his Vatukoula team scored the only try for his team in the 62nd minute. Two more tries were scored by Sekonaia Kalou in the 70th minute and Kitione Nasavuilagi in the 72nd minute with Nadroga winning 55-7.

Nadroga manager Apakuki Tuitawa: “It is good to see that the boys have made significant changes to the way they play and this win is an improvement from last week.

Vatukoula coach Nemani Soqokoverata: “We made some bad decisions.”
