Minister for Education and Training, Vanuatu Jean Pierre Niurua handed over VUV3, 607,334 (or FJ $69,717.99) to Ministry of Education deputy secretary Kelera Taloga yesterday.

Mr Niurua extended his sympathy to the Government and people of Fiji for the damages caused by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

“This figure amount is the result of flood appeal conducted by the students and children of Vanuatu in support of their brothers and sisters here in Fiji,” Mr Niurua said.

Mrs Kelera Taloga said she thanks sincerely to Vanuatu, the Ministry of Education, students and children of Vanuatu.

“I assure this money will be well spent for students, teachers and the schools that have affected by TC Winston,” Mrs Taloga said.
