The Vodafone Fijian 7s team will be aiming to finish on a high note in the World Sevens Series by winning the last two remaining legs in Paris and London.

And for coach Ben Ryan, whose contract expired after the Rio Olympic Games in August, this is his last chance to win Fiji’s first back-to-back wins since the World Sevens Series started in 1999.

As the team camped in London last Saturday their only aim will be to get everything right in order to put on a stellar performance in Paris this weekend.

Winning three tournaments in Dubai, Las Vegas and Hong Kong, settling for the Plate in Cape Town, coming third in Wellington and Sydney, finishing fourth in Vancouver and losing out to Kenya in the Singapore 7s final, a win in Paris and London would be the icing on the cake.

Ryan has made it clear on his Twitter page that they will not be settling for anything less than back- to-back wins.

“Good first day in camp – the start of a big final finish in the World Sevens Series. Attack the back to back series title – no other way.”

Fiji is eight points clear of South Africa on 147 on the World Sevens Series standings.

Fiji is in Pool B with Pacific rivals Samoa, plus Tier One Six Nations unions Wales and Scotland.
