Lautoka Blues Lead Race

Lautoka 1 – 1 Nadi
The Johnny Williams-coached Lautoka team lead the Vodafone Premier League points table with 10 points from five matches.
Defending champion Jack’s Nadi is in third spot with four points after two matches.
What happened: The teams drew 1-1 in front of the 4000 fans at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday.
The Blues team included experienced players Peni Finau, Kolinio Sivoki, Jone Vono Jnr, Zibraz Sahib, Ilaitia Tuilau, Edward Justin, Iliesa Lino, and Cyrus Singh.
The Jetsetters had Antonio Tuivuna, Ilimotama Jese, Ame Votonui, Eliki Ravosai, Mataiasi Toma, and Vuniuci Tikomaimereke.
Lautoka struggled to settle early as Nadi stepped up the attack and kept Blues goalkeeper Senirusi Bokini on his toes.
Lautoka did not really have any clear cut chances although a free kick for the Blues was saved by Nadi goalkeeper Vereti Dixon.
Halftime: Lautoka 0 – 0Nadi
Nadi came out strong in the second half and they broke the deadlock when a Lautoka defender Ilaitia Tuilau defused Nadi’s attack in the box by handling the ball in the 52nd minute.
Lekima Gonerau scored but eight minutes later Ratu Josefata Dugucagi equalised for the Blues.
Star Turn: Dugucagi and Justin played well for the Blues.
Big Play: Gonerau played well for Nadi. Comments:
