Mother’s Day is usually a time where children put into words how much they cherish their mother.

It was a Mother’s Day service to remember for the women of Nadera Methodist Church after they presented their new uniforms to the congregation.

For eighty-two-year-old Miriama Vosataki, witnessing how her eight children have progressed in life is her greatest blessing.

Ms Vosataki, originally from Vunuku, Moala in Lau said her eight children were now all employed and married with children.

“I cannot really do much work at home thus the only thing that I now love doing is visit the House of God,” she said.

“It gives me a sense of peace knowing that I will be meeting the Lord soon.”

Meanwhile, Nadera Methodist Church women’s group leader, Temaleti Bali, said the idea of acquiring new uniforms was realised during a meeting this year.

“We have a project committee in our church and every year we planned to do something new for the church and this time apart from decorating the church we also thought of buying uniforms for our ladies,” Mrs Bali said.

“This change signifies the unity that mothers in our church have and I am thankful for the support of everyone in the church.”

The women led the service yesterday and preached on the theme ‘Let your faith shine during this time’.
