Beauticians from around the country recently underwent a training upgrading their knowledge on how to enhance and express beauty using an Ayurvedic (herbal) approach.

The training was organised by the Fiji National University’s National Training and Productivity Centre in Nadi on “Herbal Ayurveda Treatment for Body, Skin and Hair”.

Assistance Minister for Health, Veena Bhatnagar, described the hair, beauty and spa as a fast growing industry in the present day and age.

“Everyone from all walks of life particularly women have a passion and interest toward this very industry,” she said.

“Some are out to learn the trade whilst others take advantage of these services which are provided by commercial entities.”

Ms Bhatnagar noted those involved in our hair salon and spa industry are out to use current technologies.

And search best practice models that will empower and enhance the industry.

Included in the seminar was a demonstration of Herbal Ayurveda Remedies for Body Treatment, Herbal Ayurveda Remedies for Skin, Facial treatment, Herbal Ayurveda Remedies for Hair.
