From the small town of Nausori to gracing the stage of The Voice Australia, 22-year-old Ilisavani Cava has achieved one of his life-long dreams.

Mr Cava’s dream was to one day perform on stage. His dream came true when he made the cut during the final audition of the Australian show’s fifth season last Tuesday night.

“I’ve always sang in church and one of my dreams was to sing on stage as such just to have a platform to inspire and get exposure,” Mr Cava said.

He credited his success to his mother who he said has been his biggest supporter.

“My inspiration of what I have been achieving to date has been my mum. She’s been through so much raising the three of us with my dad and she motivates me to work hard and dream big,” he said.

Mr Cava has also advised young aspiring artists to dream big, work together and sought advice always from Fiji’s renowned musicians on the music industry in Fiji.
