Fiji Sun Boosts Investment In Cutting Edge Production Technology
Fiji Sun production staff have finished working with engineers from New Zealand installing the latest of a continuing upgrade of equipment and software.
Fiji Sun Publisher/chief executive officer Peter Lomas said: “This further investment in cutting edge technology reflects the commitment of our ownership. That’s to provide the best support to all those advertisers who support the Fiji Sun – and all our readers.”
The equipment installed includes:
– A second FUJI Luxel dual laser computer to plate setter, backing up the first, which was the first installed in a Fijian newspaper;
– A second plate processor;
-A Tarng Yun Optical Plate Punch and Bender, the first to be installed in a Pacific Islands newspaper.
– An Alwan multicolour server, the latest European technology and again a first in regional newspapers.
