Fiji Sun staff are enthusiastic learners, says top Indian corporate trainer and leadership coach Mayur Kalbag.

Mr Kalbag was speaking at the Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva. He continued a series of workshops to help build future leadership capacity at the country’s biggest newspaper.

Mr Kalbag yesterday emphasised the importance of time management and ways of achieving this.

“Today, with enthusiasm, they did role play,” he said. “It was very interesting.”

Fiji Sun Chief Photojournalist Ronald Kumar said: “I have learned about the importance of empowering staff on managing time and planning in order to have better production in a given time and meeting deadlines.”

Fiji Sun Deputy Sports Editor Anasilini Ratuva said: “The workshop was very productive. I have learned the execution of plans.”

Mr Kalbag is a lead training facilitator for the Confederation of Indian Industry and works with some of India’s biggest companies.

His weekly column on corporate advice appears in the Fiji Sun Business liftout on Saturdays.

His Fiji Sun workshop continues today with emphasis on the importance of team building.
