The prosecution agreed to bail of a murder suspect but on strict terms yesterday at the High Court in Suva.

Sangeeta Devi, who is charged with the murder of her baby, appeared before Justice Vincent Perera.

Justice Perera granted Devi bail on strict conditions as requested by the prosecution.

Stipulations in the bail include the suspect not to offend, she is not to interfere with the prosecution’s witnesses, she is not to apply for travel documents, she is not to change her residential address without informing the court, she is to report to the Nasinu Police station every Friday anytime between 6am to 6pm from May 20.

Phool Singh, her father-in-law, and another relative Satish Kumar have paid a bail bond of $1000 each as her surety.
