Opposition parliamentarian Ratu Isoa Tikoca’s case of allegedly failing to declare his liabilities has been postponed to next month.

Tikoca is charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) for failing to declare his liabilities before the 2014 General Elections.

He allegedly failed to declare his liabilities contrary to the Political Parties Decree No. 4 of 2013 Constitution.

Prosecutor Rashmi Aslam informed the Suva Magistarte Court that the agreed facts were ready and were awaiting defence lawyer Shadiq Koya’s signatures.

Mr Koya was represented by Steven  Prakash and he informed the court that Mr Koya has requested for a day to pursue the documents and file it the next day.

Magistrate Makareta Mua enquired about the hearing date to which the two lawyers said they needed four days for the case and preferred a date in October due to other cases they were attending in the High Court.

The court has been adjourned to June 23.
