Vodafone Fijian 7s speedster Samisoni Viriviri says Jarryd Hayne has got the skills to showcase at the London 7s this weekend.

The Dratabu, Nadi native rated Hayne highly after their training sessions early this week and scrimmaging against Scotland yesterday.

“Yes, he got 7s skills,” he said.

Viriviri said the players were excited to play with Hayne if Coach Ben Ryan included him in the final 12 players today.

“Yes, we are all excited to play with him this weekend if he gets the nod,” Viriviri said.

While the world is still surprised with Hayne’s quitting the San Francisco 49ers to team up Fijian 7s team, Viriviri said Jarryd was settling in well in camp.

“The media have been mocking him from day one but it’s he’s been handling the pressure well and relaxed like the rest of us in camp,” Viriviri said from London.

Ryan revealed that Hayne still has every chance of playing in London.

“He has only trained once with team and we don’t name 12 for London 7s till Friday (today),” Ryan tweets.

According to Ryan, Hayne’s selection for the 2016 Rio Olympics is still alive.

Fiji is in Pool B with Australia, England, and Wales.  Fiji plays England at 11:04pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, England captain Tom Mitchell has indicated they were looking forward to play competitive rugby.

“It’s been an incredible series so far,” said England Captain Tom Mitchell.

“It’s been really competitive and coming into London all the teams look ready for the final tournament of the series.

“From an England perspective, as the hosts we are looking forward to playing in front of the home crowd in what should be a great spectacle for the sport,” Mitchell said.
