Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau said yesterday the 120 cadets of Nilsen College excelled at their passing – out parade drills at the ceremony at Theodore Park in Vatukoula.

“Your display of timing and precision has been exemplary and no doubt your parents and guardians, teachers, friends and school mates will be very impressed with your performance,” he said.

Mr Tagicakibau said he was very proud of each cadet’s performance in terms of performing the highest standards in the turnouts, drills and bearing.

“Those of you passing-out today can take great pride in completing an extremely demanding period of training and preparation,” he said.

Mr Tagicakibau applauded the Fiji Police Force for training the new cadets which helped them graduate and urged the cadets to take up the good qualities they had learned.

“If there is something you need to take away from this programme, I strongly advise and challenge you to embrace the values and attributes and it will surely prepare you for greater things in life,” he said.

“You must rise up to take charge, ultimately our country’s destiny and this can only happen if you our young generation embrace unity, integrity, patriotism and passion in all your undertakings.”

Cadet Naseu Qiokata walked away with the Baton of Honour.
