Government received a donation of $5000 for the Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund on Thursday.
Acknowledging the donation from religious group, Masjid Al’Noor Surrey of British Columbia was Office of the Prime Minister deputy secretary, Peniana Lalabalavu.
Masjid Al’Noor Surray representative, Aseem Khan, said the donation was collected by members to assist Fijians in rehabilitation works.
“We collected $5000 from all the former citizens and we hope that this donation will assist those Fijians that have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston,” Mr Khan said.
