He was commenting on the death of 69-year-old Sushila Devi. She was found dead by her relatives in her Razak Rd home in Lautoka, her hands and legs tied. Police said she had been murdered.

Brigadier-General Qiliho said they had deployed extra manpower to the West in anticipation of increased criminal activities in the division.

“It has quitened down a bit in the southern division and we notice criminals have moved  to the West,” he said.

He appealed to the people to take extra-precautions and be extra-vigilant.
