The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) officially moved out of their offices at the Manohan Building at Nasinu 4 Miles yesterday.

WAF will stay out of its headquarters at the Manohan Building after the staff were instructed to pack everything and clear the building.

Chief executive officer Opetaia Ravai said they had followed the instructions from the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources to vacate the building and this is what they had done.

“What matters to me is the safety of my 400 staff and they had been working for long in make-shift offices,” he said

“Our first priority is our customers; this is why we have our customer service staff sitting outside on the second floor of our headquarters parking lot in the tents to serve them.

“I think we all understand the importance of water to our customers and the work associated with its continued availability to them,” Mr Ravai said.

There is currently no confirmation on the location of the new WAF headquarters.
