539 New Registrations Recorded

The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) has so far registered 539 new voters in the Help for Homes initiative centres in the last two weeks.

The centres were also convenient for 2905 Fijians that applied for Electronic Voter Registration (EVR) card replacements instantly.

“We see great value in utilising the HHI centres to allow voters to take advantage of voter services from the FEO and we will continue to support the HHI,” Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said.

Apart from the above, 351 people took the opportunity to update their details with the FEO.

The Registration of Voters Decree requires every voter to inform the FEO within 21 days of any change of details (address) and the FEO will accordingly update its database and issue a replacement EVR card. For more updates on the EVR centres please refer to the HHI advertisements in the Fiji Sun.
