Two men were presented at the Suva Magistrates Court in relation to obtaining property by deception and forgery.

They have been charged for taking advantage of the Fiji National Provident Fund Tropical Cyclone Winston relief assistance.

Amos Ragoyawa, 32 and Gabriel Ledua, 22 appeared before Magistrate Makerata Mua at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Defence lawyer Lavinia David represented both accused and applied for bail to which Police Prosecutor Temesi Evo did not object to. But he asked the court to give strict bail conditions, with sureties. The first accused should change his residential address as the complainant resides in the same area.

Ms David informed the court that the first accused will be residing with his grandmother in Kinoya and upon presenting sureties she has asked the court for time to present them today.

The court was adjourned to allow the accused to present their sureties.
