Fighting Union For His Rights

A cleaner/gardener working for a trade union is scratching his head after he got fired.

One morning his daughter was very sick so he took her to the hospital. That’s why he started late and finished all the tasks for the day. But the union found it unacceptable and dismissed him saying it could because he was an attaché.

The man had been working for one year earning $100 a week and all that time he believed he was a full-time employee.

This was the first time he learned he was an attaché.

He could not believe that this was happening in a trade union that professes to champion worker’s rights, better working conditions and the democratic principle of fair play.

So he is fighting back on the grounds of unfair and unlawful dismissal.

Rugby watch

Rumour has it that some being looked at for the alleged FNPF scam were there watching our boys in Hong Kong and Singapore 7s.
