Goundar Shipping Limited is expected to expand its fleet soon. The details of its new ferry are expected to be made next month by company owner George Goundar, once he returns from Canada where he is currently visiting his family.

When approached last week, Mr Goundar said, he would not like to make any comment until everything is finalised.

He told SUN Shipping that apart from visiting his family, he would bring in materials for the $500,000 refurbishment of the economy class of the country’s biggest ferry MV Lomaiviti Princess III.

STILL PLANNING

Mr Goundar said they are working on when to start their Nabouwalu (Bua)- Natovi (Tailevu North) services.

“We are very much involved in the servicing of this route,” he added.

In an earlier interview Mr Goundar said they were contemplating of using MV Lomaiviti Princess III to service the route and to be based in Nabouwalu.
