The post-mortem of a 29-year-old Floyd William, a labourer whose body was allegedly crushed by a conveyor belt carrying bauxite ore, was conducted on Wednesday.
This was confirmed by the Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
“We cannot reveal the details of the post- mortem yet as investigation continues,” Ms Naisoro said.
Floyd William was an employee of Xinfa Aurum Exploration (Fiji) Limited.
The work-related accident occurred at Matasawalevu in Dreketi on Saturday, May 21.
He was rushed to the Dreketi Health Centre but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations northern office is also carrying out their investigation.
