Davendra Dayal’s plan to have his own garage has gotten a major boost.

This was after the 18-year-old graduated with a National Certificate in Automotive Mechanic Level II from Technical College of Fiji’s Vanua Levu Arya Campus at Labasa Civic Centre on Friday.

Despite having financial constraints and dropping out from Labasa Arya Secondary School at Year 10, Davendra did not give up on his dream.

“I always dream of having my own garage and when I heard there was a Government established college for students to study in the trade field, I went for it,” Davendra said.

“I took in all the teachings and training while studying at Vanua Levu Arya Campus and today I feel proud to have obtained my certificate.

“It is very precious to me as it allows me to set a foundation for my dream. My father, Vijendra Dayal, a sugarcane farmer and mother, Uttar Wati doing domestic duties are very proud of me.”
