Hearing For Chiefly Dispute On June 16

The chiefly dispute for Vunivalu (warlord) at Natewa in Cakaudrove Province will be heard on June 16.

This was confirmed by Native Lands Commission tribunal chairman Ratu Vananalagi Vesikula  at the village yesterday.

“We have received written submissions from the factions today. The team needs to go back to Suva and verify the written submissions,” Ratu Vananalagi said.

“The factions are led by Ratu Ifereimi Buaserau, head of Valelevu clan and Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure, head of Valenisau clan.

“The clan heads’ submissions were interesting as which bloodline is taking the role of Vunivalu and where the Vanua is leaning to.”.
