The standard of competition at the Fijian International should be bigger and better this year, says Harmony Thomas.

The Fijian International event manager said with the European Tour co-sanctioning the event alongside the PGA Australasian Tour, local fans will see the top players from the two regions battle at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from October 3-9.

“Because of the European Tour co-sanctioning, the strength of the field will be a lot stronger, bigger and better than previous years,”Thomas said.

“The European Tour is one of the biggest events in the world. We’ve some great players lined up.”

Meanwhile, Victoria Wines has renewed its partnership with the Fijian International to be the official wine supplier for event for the next three years.

Managing director Liam Hindle said they plan to continue engaging with wine consumers throughout the event and was excited by European Tour co-sanctioning the event.

“The Fijian International in now going into its third year partnership with Victoria Wines and we are very happy with the way that the event is developing.

“As such we feel that the Fiji International is the perfect fit for us to showcase our Victoria Wines to a larger audience both globally and domestically and we look forward to a long lasting relationship.

Vitoria Wines will offer famous brands like Leyda from the esteemed VSPT Group in Chile, San Pedro’s 1865, Trapiche and Taittinger.
