Labasa Town came alive yesterday as people from all walks of life gathered in big numbers to witness Fiji Link’s second anniversary celebration at Takia Hotel car park.

People had the opportunity to meet Fiji Link Captain Neli Vuatalevu and Cabin Crew Mere Bale who shared their stories which inspired many young people to consider joining the aviation industry in the future.

Also many had the privilege to meet their Vodafone Fijian Sevens champions Jerry Tuwai and Isake Katonibau.

The celebration provided hundreds of people memory making moments to home.

Rebranded from Pacific Sun on June 6, 2014, Fiji Link is a subsidiary of Fiji Airways which services its domestic and regional network.

Thakor Maisura, of Labasa, said he felt very excited and thankful to Fiji Link for considering having their celebration in Labasa.

“I had the opportunity to meet Fiji Link staff and Fiji Sevens players and walk out from stage with a Fiji Link t-shirt,” Mr Maisura.

“Thank you Fiji Link for continuing to be our main domestic destination and for bringing the two sevens players.”
